Pollywogs!

We have some new little babies around the house, and they're tadpoles! We have about 13, and are hoping to see them reach adulthood. Once they can hop around and threaten to face us with a plague in our room, we will free them to the ponds. Hopefully this will be a fun, learning experience, although it's already, "Mama, can you tell me about tadpoles?" every day.

A little friend

A story of a little boy who found a little cute snail in his back yard. Unfortunately, it has a sad ending when the little boy's daddy steps on the snail while running across the porch, where the little boy left the snail to see how far it could move while he was gone.

Mommy doesn't do slimy

But Jed does. His latest critter finds have been salamanders. They seem to be hiding under every rock around here. The only nasty thing about these cute guys is that they can carry salmonella, so thorough handwashings take place throughout the day.

Tree Frog

Jed's latest 'thing' is to ask us to tell him about something. This all started on a stormy night when Curtis was gone, and he was cuddled in bed with me. I told him about the thunder and lightning, and ever since he has been asking to be told about everthing from trees to the easter bunny. This morning it was tree frogs.

Finally!

Well here it is! The moment you've been waiting for. A blog about Jed, by Jed, and for Jed. A picture is worth a million words-eh?
